Engaging Concept as your ICA or Commissioning Manager at Concept Design is where we feel we can deliver the most value for money. A common misconception is that an Independent Commissioning Agent (ICA) or Commissioning Manager should only be engaged during Commissioning. We believe that in doing so, the horse may have already bolted. By engaging Concept Commissioning early in the project, there is ample opportunity for us to review the design and brief, as well as liaise with the contractors delivering the project. We believe this to be amongst the most important factors in delivering successful projects, as this is how we gauge and understand the challenges each contractor is facing, including their prerequisites to entry, for each level of commissioning.

One size does not fit all!

No matter when we are engaged, before any project begins we believe in sitting down with the client and having honest conversations about the realities of each individual project, what the deadlines are and where the project is at in reality. This enables us to tailor our approach, along with tried and trusted processes (ASHRAE, CIBSE etc.), in delivering the project on time and crucially, without sacrificing on quality.

All full time Concept Commissioning employees are Chartered or working towards becoming Chartered, via the Engineers Australia Chartership pathway. This means having at least 5-years engineering experience and maintaining competency across 16 elements related to an engineering specialisation.

We constantly liaise with our clients, project managers, principal contractors and sub-contractors in adapting to new realities and ensuring availability of operatives during critical phases of each project.
